This week, we have this all
I am Angelika, a born and bred Pretoria girl with an affinity for all things natural! When it comes to my diet and beauty regime I believe the fewer artificial ingredients the better – if my gran wouldn’t recognise a particular ingredient, then I will avoid using it.
How would you describe your hair texture?
My hair is generally soft and wavy, with a tendency to frizz in humidity.
Describe your styling regimen over the course of the month and the rationale behind your various styling decisions. As I workout most mornings, I wash my hair every day. I use a sulphate-free shampoo and I follow up with an apple-cider vinegar rinse. I don’t use conditioner at all - the vinegar rinse leaves my hair very soft and shiny. Once a week I use my koili butter as a hair mask. I put some through the lengths of my hair and wash it out after 45mins. My hair feels so nourished afterwards!
Describe your favourite go to hair style for days when you don't have a lot of time to style
Since I have a bob, my styling options are pretty limited – I usually put my hair in a bun if I am really pressed for time.
What are some of your problem areas (if any) that require extra care and attention?
Dry ends and the dreaded frizz.
Which of the koili butters have you used and for how long?
I have been using my marula and jojoba butter for about 2 months now – this has really helped combat my frizz issue.
Tell us how you use it and how often
I use it as a weekly hair mask and on dry patches on my skin, like my elbows, or on my legs after shaving. It’s an instant skin soother!
What do you like most about your butter?
The fact that it works! I adore the yummy smell and I love the fact that it’s completely natural and not tested in animals.
